Posted on March 19 2015
Earlier this year, in our capital city London, Head of Make-up Artistry Zoe Newlove was invited to be a part of the Benefit Cosmetics Trend Team during London Fashion Week S/S 2015 for the Matthew Williamson Show. London Fashion week is always a highlight in our calendar because of the inspiration of the designers and working with fellow Hair and Makeup artists, it is a very hectic time but one any Makeup artist Loves being involved in!
Backstage at Matthew Williamson Show
The Matthew Williamson show is one of the biggest shows during LFW and the Head Artist this year was the talented Lisa Potter Dixon. Zoe and the rest of the Benefit Cosmetics Trend Team had to recreate the look on the model line up as prepared and created by Lisa.
‘’The distinctive curved, bronzed eye that I have created compliments the feminine silhouettes of Matthew’s Collection beautifully, whilst also embodying the ‘coolness’ of the Brit girl. I’ve purposely emphasised the skin with a golden glow to work alongside the stunning rich jewel tones of the collection.’’
– Lisa Potter-Dixon, Head Make-up & Trend Artist (& Brow Expert), Benefit Cosmetics
Our make-up brushes could be seen backstage in particular the C433 Pro Blending Fluff and C431 Precision Pencil whilst creating the gorgeous eye look. We also spotted our 20 Colour Concealer palette in action helping to create that flawless, glowy skin. To see how to create the full look you can check this out over on the Benefit Cosmetics blog.
The energy backstage was intense, to get the look finished in time. There is always an exciting appeal to working London Fashion Week, and we know for sure our Head of Make-up Zoe, cannot wait to do it all over again next season.
